A year ago tomorrow is my Mogoversary. Chances are I will be doing a million things and not have a chance to post, so I must take advantage of it today.
I looked back today to see what my first post was, and what I wanted to get out of Mog when I first posted. I still have yet to fulfill my promise of posting more of the talented bands out of Atlanta. Off the top of my head three notable bands that need mentioning are The Selmanaires and Gringo Star (though I really liked their previous incarnation as A Fir Ju Well), and Light Pupil Dilate for those of you metal loving Mogsters.
While things in my life are somewhat the same, they are completely different. My wife, son and I have welcomed my daughter into our family. My son has grown by leaps and bounds into a whirlwind of toddlerhood. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful family.
I've never been a part of anything quite like Mog. I've loved the involvement of the Mog Community, and love seeing new people gradually join the fold. We've lost some moggers - some left us for other haunts, and some left us forever (Crash R.I.P). We've had a face lift to the mogosphere, and the introduction of Rhapsody into our lives. Through bumps, obstacles, and Schloopy's, we've persevered into making this an interesting site, I'm proud to return to daily. Thank you everyone for turning me onto more music than I possibly have time for, and giving this self admitted music snob, a place to hang his hat. Though, I feel you Moggers have chipped some of that snobbishness away and allowed me to reconsider some music I never thought I would.
So for old time sake, here's the first song I posted on Mog, "Parasites" by The Brother Reverend (now known as Lesion Legion):

great post... .and FYI i think the bug with mog cutting off your post has to do with the open code/tag you have linking to that myspace page.

i think someone reported this bug to MOG but they havent gotten a chance to fix it yet

Contra, congrats! I just got back from a long trip and don't have the mental power to wax eloquent, but let me just agree with those who said that you are one of those that make MOG worth the daily trip . . .
