WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

A Romeo By Any Other Name Would Be As Tragic

Posted 6 months ago

Alas poor Romeo, he is but a lyrical affectation. His tragic fate, a mere litterary refference to the bard by those who have followed. His actions to be admired from a far, his commitment to the act of loving someone bordering on obsessive. I present to you, fair listener/reader/watcher a portrait of Romeo, by some of our best artists, and at least one of the lesser knowns.

Lou Reed - Romeo Had Juliette

Tom Waits - Romeo Is Bleeding

Thin Lizzy - Romeo and The Lonely Girl

Van Halen - Romeo Delight

Michael & The Messengers - Romeo & Juliet

At first, I though Lou was using a toothpick or wooden match in his mouth to improve his diction, but then realized it was a lip sync job. Doesn't make any difference, way cool. Props to Tom Waites too, don't think he smokes any more. Busted out tail light in a 58 Impala, indeed!
