WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Songs For Carmen San Diego #2

Posted over 2 years ago
I sing along with this song to my son. That may be a bit morbid, singing a song with the line "Do You Realize that everyone you know, one day, will die..." but the song, to me, is so heartfelt, and makes me appreciate being in the moment, or the moments I've had w/ others who are no longer here. He's so small, and I know he doesn't understand it, but I also kow that there will only be a short amount of time that I can still hold him and sing to him, when he'll actually enjoy it. As sad as that makes me, I also realize that I have to make the most of the now. I don't have much to give him but my time and love, and that's OK with me.This other Lips song is another heartfelt one that I believe Wayne Coyne wrote after he lost his father. It says so much about being overwhelmed by losing someone so key in your life.
Although I don't know what the cicumstances are around CS's dark time, these songs have helped me through mine. The Flaming Lips - Waiting For Superman
