Psychedelic Rock Wars #8

-Let's go back to the beginning. Some say this was the first "psychedelic" song. It- ??Crimson And Clover?? does have a tremolo or "flange" sound, which anyone who likes psych music, knows is essential for setting a "trippy tone"

  2. cpetersonart3 says The only problem dating this as the first psychedelic song is that it came out in 1969 and I believe many others bands before them had developed the sound. The middle part was great and really grabbed me when it was first released.

  3. contrabandwidth says Ah, my bad. I guess I was told, assumed, and didn't do my research, and just always thought it came out in the mid 60's. I'll correct my first statement. Thanks for the correction. Maybe the uniqueness is it's one of those "mainstream" psychedelic tracks like "Mellow Yellow" that is more of a comic book-esque version of trippiness rather than some of the other contenders.
