I've liked these cats for a long while now, so I'm biased fo sho. But I have to admit to getting a huge kick out of this album. There's something about a slightly nerd rock crew like Cake covering Barry White that makes me giggle. Scratch and sniff liner notes are cool too. They note that they were made from recycled paper and vegetable dye, which is cool, but it would have been nicer to do away with the jewel case entirely. A small thing. Very Fun album.

I'm with you Anna, that's a great description of the singer's style. DMDM, "I Will Survive" is not on the album, but I do love that version. In fact, I used to play with a band that covered their cover. Always a crowd pleaser. Sorry Gloria.
