WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Some fellow moggers got me on this coffee titled post theme. I'm throwing this track up for a few reasons. I just got the record and I am excited that in adition to being funky it's got some intellectual heft. The track's piano reminds of me a bit Chrlie Brown Christmas, which i checked out for a bit earlier tonight, and it's got some afro-beat horns that go with Oatmeal's Fela vid. Sort of. I've got my first kid due in a few weeks and despite the economic mayhem and my lack of guarantees, I am pretty pleased about it. Perhaps most importantly the album and track are a celebration of a rather serendipitous Sunday. We walked off the elevator into the the basement of our apartment building and there in the re-purpose area was what appeared to be a decent carousel cd player. Ours had been broken for quite a while and we had just begun searching for a replacement. Now we've got a free one!

OH YEAH, this is really good. I had heard about this album but no one told me it was this good. I totally hear the Fela thing too.
