WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

I spent the last three months traveling for Obama and I'll admit to being very pleased with the result/s. Got to spend E-Day at home and got a real kick out of walking the streets of the Mission and watching people who according to Fox News are completely unpatriotic, wave American Flags, chant USA and sing the Star Spangled Banner. Maybe we're not all godless heathens out here intent on exporting our "SF values" and if we are perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad thing.

While traveling I didn't get to discover or interact with much music at all, but while in Philly on a few ocasions I had the pleasure of listening to WXPN and they turned me on to a few things. First, was this act - The Black Seeds. From what I know they are out of New Zealand. They may have a bit too much soul or R & B to satisfy the reggae purist, but they do get sticky with it at times and they do some nice little melodies. Whatever the case, I got a fair amount of enjoyment from them over the last month or two. Hope you like.

"Traveling for Obama"?  Is that like following the Grateful Dead?

I watch Fox News pretty regularly and can't recall anyone expressing the opinions you're citing here. But I somehow suspect that you don't, and just enjoy passing on the hate.

    Dermahrk,

I worked for the campaign in a role that entailed quite a bit of travel.  I don't watch a lot of Fox News, and I don't think I am wrong about the SF values remarks, but I'll admit to being a little sensitive on the topic.  A quick google search of "san francisco values" is pretty revealing.  You'll get these links among others:

    Cody,

Glad to hear you got down to VA for a bit.  I got through several cities there and left pretty pumped about what seemed possible.

Many thanks Hermes and you too Anna for the warm welcomes.

    Hermes,

You got anything DJ Krush-esque for me to sink my ears into?
