Sunday still undercover (somewhat)

There's been a terrific amount of sharing in the mogosphere of late. A trend that I enjoyed solely as a spectator. I liked learning more about fellow moggers and viewed it as a validation of mog to some degree. I was a bit reticent about participating because I can be neurotically private at times and because I feel that we've (I?) got plenty to talk about when music is the focus.

As in many instances, life has interceded. My mogging will likely take the hit for it, but I am pretty pleased with one of the biggest and most unique experiences I have ever had. On Tuesday, January 6 my first child - Fiona Rose was born. The last five days have been a pretty wild ride. As I'm sure all first time parents would attest, the learning curve is very steep and doesn't look as if it will level off anytime soon. But those precious moments with a burbling, contented little creature seem more than able to see me through the most trying sleep-deprived moments we might face.

Don't know if I have a cogent explanation on posting Sean Hayes. I like his music quite a bit and it has a whimsical and very honest feel that seems appropriate for talk of children.

P.S. We did not pose her for this photo. That smooth styling look is all her own.

I really like your choice of music on this post. My life was changed forever the moment I became a dad, and I remember so, so many times that my babies fell asleep in my arms listening to music. Everything sounds better behind the soft sweetness of baby slumber. Congratulations, and enjoy.

Thanks to you all.  The burst of good wishes is a real nice perk to having a child.

Nordico, haven't had her fall asleep in my arms to music yet, but looking forward to sharing one of my greatest passions with her.

Cody, that new baby smell is awesome.  I was in the office this afternoon and I thought I smelled it.  Perhaps there was some on my clothes and/or I would have preferred being back home at home with her.

My niece is the only person I know who doesn't see right through me when I sing to her, she just enjoys it for the best that is happening at that moment; little girls seem to have dominion over the knack for this sort of appreciation.  Be sure to take advantage of her aural graciousness while it lasts, as she is a uniquely gorgeous baby girl, and, beauty that she is, she will likely grow accustomed to having access to the finest the world has to offer.

Thanks BX, I am going to start in with the music asap.  I just sang/hummed the chorus from a Goats track to her and it seemed to go over okay - she did chill out
