WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I'm excited.

I'm fairly certain I'm seeing the Black Keys sometime this month with my brother, sister, and soon-to-be sister-in-law. Have any of you heard them? If yes, do you enjoy them as much as I?

  1. Spooner says I have been listening to them a lot. Your Touch is #1 in my top 25 on iTunes right now.

  2. Dale says I'm coming around slowly. BTW, you really need to sign up for the Forward Russia ticket giveaway, they're giving away tickets for 2 at the Conservatory. http://mog.com/Forward_Russia/blog_post/30020

  4. condescendingfool69 says Dale: The Conservatory? You live in the Oklahoma City area, I assume? SatisfiedMind614: Yeah, I've always viewed them as a White Stripes-esque band... only their drummer is better. Haha. You just injected me with even more excitement.

  5. SatisfiedMind614 says Yeah...you dig it! And you can call me Blair...it was so nice to go to a show and see the guitar player play THE same guitar for the whole show...its just flowed so well

  6. condescendingfool69 says Damn. That would be a first for me. Haha. Nearly all the concerts I go to usually backfire in the ways of instruments...

  7. lemontwist says Oh man, have fun! They're such a cool band. Wish they were touring near my area. :)

  8. Dale says Sorry to bum you out, I live in Wichita. It just happens that Oklahoma City is closer to me than Kansas City, weird as it may seem. But yes, I was speaking of the Conservatory in OKC.

  9. condescendingfool69 says I've been to Wichita... I drove through there on my trip to the Manhattan/Wamego area. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try to go.

  10. Dale says Best description of Wichita I've heard yet right there. It's the city of almost 400,000 that people drive through to get to somewhere fun. I'm gonna submit that to the Tourist Board, assuming there is one.

  11. condescendingfool69 says I'm sure travel to the Wichita area would increase greatly. I know I would go if their travel guides boasted that.

  12. Dale says Hey, maybe we'll get more concerts, and I won't have to drive three hours to Lawrence or OKC for a show, not that I'm bitter or anything.

  13. condescendingfool69 says Haha. I feel your pain... by moving from Seattle to OKC, I've missed out on many, many good shows. The closest most of my favorite bands come is usually Dallas.
