The Church of hot Addiction, Secrets and God.

Posted almost 5 years ago
Just let me ask you:Hey, have you heard of my religion? It's called the Church of Hot AddictionAnd we believe that God has lust for everythingBecause now,The time has come for your devotionAnd you already got a notionOf what I needSo give it, just give it,Just give it to meYou're willing,I'm waiting.Turn out the lightsThe Church of Hot Addiction-Cobra StarshipI first heard this group eons ago. with their song Hollaback Boy A parody of Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl. I liked it, it reminded me alot of Adam and Andrew [they sing emo kid and the gansta song]. But it wasnt until recently that i heard Bring It by Cobra Starship-a song from the Snakes on A plane Soundtrack, and i really liked it!So now i have alot more songs from them, and they arent Adam and Andrew-ish at all, they're more similar to Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is, The Sounds, maybe Panic! minus the circus act.I really like The Church of Hot Addiction, great song. The grop is a fun group, not Weird Al or Tenacious D fun, but, fun!**Speaking of Church and Hot Addictions I have to mention one of my fav songs of all time. God by John LennonBRILLIANT song, written by the one and only, John Lennon, from our fav msical insects. Back when he did his solo thing. It's on the Album Remember, and I think it's my fav track of them all.Lyrics for God:God is a concept, By which we can measure, Our pain, I'll say it again, God is a concept, By which we can measure, Our pain, I don't believe in magic, I don't believe in I-ching, I don't believe in bible, I don't believe in tarot, I don't believe in Hitler, I don't believe in Jesus, I don't believe in Kennedy, I don't believe in Buddha, I don't believe in mantra, I don't believe in Gita, I don't believe in yoga, I don't believe in kings, I don't believe in Elvis, I don't believe in Zimmerman, I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me, Yoko and me, And that's reality. The dream is over, What can I say? The dream is over, Yesterday, I was dreamweaver, But now I'm reborn, I was the walrus, But now I'm John, And so dear friends, You just have to carry on, The dream is over. This type of song, makes me feel like i have a connection with his concept. Music for me isnt only a pass time, or a hobby...it's more than that, It's what i turn to for everything, and it's what brings me through most of life-without music, what would i have?probably everyhing else, but it wouldnt be nearly as fun.usic is my religion, and i suppoe my ipod is my bible. There's a chapter for everything, and it's still being written.**Now, everyone knows Maroon 5, ya? yeahhh.I mean, it's Maroon 5. But really, i've only ever had three-four songs for them, and it was two days ago that i just recieved their entire album. And i hit the repeat button when Secret played. It is my fav song from Songs about Jane.can i just say...whoever jane is...is pretty goddamn lucky."I know I dont know you, but i want you, so bad..everyone has a secret, but can they keep it? oh no, they cant...."beautiful song.and now, ive said enough.peace, love, and sex sounds!
