I'm watching "106 & Park" and was about to gripe about how the last decent gangsta rap album (Rick Ross - "Port of Miami") came out LAST SUMMER...how all the new stuff on XL Raw (on XM satellite radio) is crap...the beats suck...the lyrics suck...how many songs do we need about how big your rims are...OK, we get it...
But then the video for "Go Getta" by Young Jeezy feat. R. Kelly came on...I hadn't seen the video or even heard the song...but I like it...the lyrics aren't really hardcore, but because it's Young Jeezy, it's got that gangsta rap feel...so maybe I'll pick up "The Inspiration"...
