is it really possible to understand the real depth of tool? it feels like every time you hear a tool song, it can acquire new meanings. lateralus (the album, not the song), for instance... right now, i'm thinking about it in a nietzschean perspective. the quest for individual enlightment and detachment from the common, simple world of mediocrity. but reflection takes lateralus to a level that is beyond even nietzsche. we, the enlightened, must act like seeds, to pry open the eyes of those who are not, and our eyes will never reach true ilumination, 'cause there is no true ilumination, but we will KEEP GOING, SPIRAL OUT. reflection condemns nietzsche to daath, the state of stagnation in the ilusion of absolute wisdom achieved.

of course, this is just me on a fever.
