I don't often listen to Jazz, but when I do, it tends to be in the Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane 'Free Jazz' style. I've been trying to get hold of this track by The Art Ensemble of Chicago (with Fontella Bass singing) for years, and the album has been considered long lost, but was finally re-released on Soul Jazz records. See this Soul Jazz Records - The Art Ensemble of Chicago link for some great background to the band.
With lyrics like these, how can you resist?
'Your head is like a yoyo, your neck is like the string, Your body's like a camembert oozing from its skin.
Your fanny's like two sperm whales floating down the Seine Your voice is like a long fuck that's music to your brain.
Your eyes are two blind eagles that kill what they can't see Your hands are like two shovels digging in deep.
And your love is like an oil-well Dig, dig, dig, dig it, On the Champs-Elysees'.
.
It took me a while to get around the DRM on this download (which I paid for!), but thanks to my trusty Mac it's here for all to enjoy. Dig it...

Wow. This song is absolutely funky. Where did you find the album to buy online?
My Trusted MOGs
I bought it from here which is an Australian music web site. But it is also available from the British Soul Jazz Records site here. Glad you enjoyed it.

I just got to listen to this from your link on Cody B's post. This track should definitely be included in any list.
