Nah, ESL is a record label that's based out of DC, and stands for Eighteenth Street Lounge. It's headed up by the Thievery Corporation, so it's no surprise they make up the bulk of the ESL Remixed album (ESL's 100th release).

watchbatteries, that label opened me up to downtempo & so many other artists. I like the Beatfanatic remix of _Belly Disco_ and Chris Joss' remix of _Chick-a-Boom_. Which ones do you like off that album?

I played Chick-a-boom on my show yesterday. My favorite ESL release right now is Nickodemus' "Endangered". It has some good tracks on it. Also look into the new Thunderball record, it has Afrikaa Bimbataa on a couple tracks.

Am I the only one who thinks Chucky looks WAY too happy and comfortable with that automatic weapon? Just something to keep an I on..
