A year or so ago my husband was googling Juliette Lewis and found out she had a band. As soon as I found out I bought the EP and then a little while later their first full album and they kick serious ass. The full length album was sorta ballad-y but the EP was raw energy. My husband said she was a modern day female Iggy Pop if that gives you any idea what they are like. I just found out this morning that the third album is coming out Sept. 26th, so I am pretty psyched. When I heard the EP I was sure they were going to be huge, but it seems like they are going under everyone's radar.

I never realized that she was my age. I always thought she was younger. I think I first saw her in National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation." Then I saw her in "Strange Days" - which I loved but I remember being disappointed that she took that role. It seemed like a career-killer. Then "Natural Born Killers" which was just awful. After that I just didn't think much of her.
But this is _good_.
She can sing way better than she can act, which is a nice turnabout.
