MORE Stone Roses

Posted almost 3 years ago

You've got to have this one in your head too Elms.. a restatement of the manifesto that has had to last us... i got the Ian Brown solo stuff, and "Seahorses" single..played em a few times..

"Seahorses" ,John Squire's band, only single i heard "Love is the Law" has his trademark guitar "wiggle" all over it like this..best bit..i think it's a regular, but brilliantly played "hammer-on / hammer off"...guitar geeks will know what i'm on about....

This track builds through Herbie Hancock's Watermelon man swamps..brightly coloured birds and scary insects..a shallow row-boat keening through the primordeal rock soup.chainsaw wielding locals on the river-banks,we hear advanced tin-eared evidence of the rough mix.the Burundi boys appear..or it could be the "Head Hunters" shit 'm obsessed with Hancock..very nearly an armful... mid-day sun is unbearable, boat moored up we make for shade..the saucer appears..and we are ascending... "Sweet child O mine...Slash you are guest presenter on "HIGNFY"...lotsa name checkin.. low bit-rate mp3 because it's a long track...
