I never thought a kids album could be so amazing.The cover art certainly seems like something you would by for your kids (or your neices/nephews etc). And the lyrics are mostly silly jokes, sing-a-long types, or kid's nursery rhymes. But take away the lyrics, and you have possibly one of the greatest compilation albums of 2007. Since purchasing it, i have downloaded, and fell in love with over half of the bands on the album, includingGeorgie James (formerly featuring members from Q and not U, i actually found the album while looking for GJ tracks).Soccer Team (its all i can listen too!)Channels (featuring J. Robbins of Jawbox and Burning Airlines)Sgt. Major (Nellie the Elephat is the best song on Play)Mary TimonyVisqueen (great cover of Centerfield "put me in coach im ready to play today)and Young Fresh FellowsIf you love really up tempo bands like The Go! Team, The Thunderbirds are Now!, or Oxford Collapse (who are overrated IMO) or awsome rock like Burning Airlines or Cake, i highly highly suggest taking a look at this album. Its has guided most if not all of my music purchases for the past few months.Even if your not, just go up on iTunes and listen to the previews. (search Georgie James, then go to most DLed, then click on "The Grissly Jive" the albums kinda hard to find through search).Oh, and speaking of The Go! Team. I just got their Grip Like a Vice single (a little behind i know), and its awsome! I cannot wait for their new album! Gonna be kickass! Hopefully they play some US shows near me >.<
