Okay.....a few comments
1 is a dub to the Channel One Black Uhuru cut of the Wailers' "Sun Is Shining" that saw the light of day on an early Sly Dunbar solo LP - good choice
2 Pablo versionng Horace Andy's Coxsone gem in his uisuial heavy style - a classic
3 Never really rated the Mad Prof to be honest - too much flash, not enough substance in my view, and I'm afraid this does nothing to change my mind
4 Confusingly, this is "Sun Is Shining" again, and is clearly a Maxfield Avenue cut; no idea what Lee Perry's supposed to have done with it, as it sounds nothing like his work of the time. Suspect this has been miscredited on Youtube (or on the original album).
5 The Viceroys "Heart Made of Stone" deserves to be more famous than it is - good choice.
I am not quite sure what to say... Thanks. Maybe?
Was never into Reggae that much, but I seem to have acquired more dub versions of albums than the originals! I remember playing a lot of Linton Kwesi Johnson in the mid 80's, but only the dub versions, strange...
nice videos............
