Son of 'I'm Still Making Music' (the Lightning Round edition)

Now we move on to the next-most-recent SAW song.For any of its flaws (and they're there ... you'll hear the biggest ones in the first 15 seconds or so), I offer one explanation: This song took an hour and a half. Opening up the recording software, writing the song, inserting drum loops, recording all the various keyboard lines and vocals, mixing the thing, exporting it to WAV and converting it to MP3. One hour and 36 minutes.I shouldn't have quantized the keyboardy chords there at the beginning ... it made them sound worse instead of better, since the various notes of the chords fell on either side of the cutoff, making it sound like I was just aimlessly pounding at the keyboard.Other than that, I kinda like it. A VERY retro feel. Lyrically inspired by the recent epidemic of Republican hooker scandals.Definitely needs some work and polish, and some better lyrics (and a chorus that stands out from the verses). But as an exercise in trying to do an '80s pop song, it wasn't a total failure.And besides, I proved to myself that, if pressed, I can churn out a whole song in a freaking hour and a half!
