now it's overhead

Artist:
I have been a fan of the Athens, GA-based Now It's Overhead, ever since I caught them live in 2001 with the Faint in Jacksonville, FL. It was a small show, with only 30-40 people there - and not many people giving much attention to Now It's Overhead. They blew me away with encompassing & moody songs, and their four-part vocal harmonies. At the time, Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor of Azure Ray were touring members of the band - vocally, the combination of the 4 voices was very powerful. Since then, they've released 3 albums - and are still a terrific band. I am a big fan of their newest record, "Dark Light Daybreak" which just came out last month. I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with them in Gainesville, FL this summer and they put on one hell of a show. Andy Lemaster's vocals songwriting style are inspiring to me, I look forward to future albums.
