2007. Year of The Pumpkin.

Soon, Billy will bring the mystery, drama, and suspense back.I imagine he'll bring the rock back too. We've been waiting for so long.Machina is a GREAT album.Don't let the naysayers get you down.Near 7 years ago, this album was all I could think about and listen to.Those who were there may remember the Glass concept and "Mystery of Machina."Musically complex and rich with color. Lyrically cryptic and unabashedly epic.Moving all the way. Moving to no end.In another time, at another place, this would have been considered a masterpiece. It is to me.Here's the lyrics to my favorite Machina track.RadioPlay my favourite songRadioRadioRadioIm aloneRadioRadioPlease dont goRadioI peer thru curtains on empty streetsBehind a wall of caller i.d.No ones out thereTo hear if I careAbout the troubles in the airAs I of the morning now comePick up where my thoughts left offCause Im home to die on my ownAs my radioPlays my favourite songRadioRadioRadioDont you knowRadioRadioThat radioIm aloneI blow the dust off my guitarsIn the attic with the starsI read your lettersTo feel betterMy tears upon the fading inkAs I of the morning now gonePick up where my thoughts left offCause Im home to die on my ownAs my radioPlays my favourite songRadioRadioRadioIm aloneRadioRadioRadioPlease dont goI sit in the dark lightTo wait for ghost nightTo bring the past aliveTo make a toast to lifeCause I have survivedWhat is it you wantWhat is it you want to changeWhat is it you wantWhat is it you want to changeWhat is it you want to changeRadio

  1. Truth says I've heard that this version of the pumpkins has only Billy and Jimmy Chamberlain from the original band. Is that true? If so, why aren't the other members involved and who else is playing on the new record?

  2. lemontwist says I haven't listened to Machina yet... I'm still skeptical of their new release, but hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised.

  3. River Lethe says I agree. I think Machina, Adore AND Pisces Iscariot are overlooked albums. As long as we don't revisit the Zwan territory, I think we'll be ok.

  4. Truth says Well. Pisces is a very cool album ... but its basically a collection of B-sides and outtakes from Gish and Siamese Dream period. There was a period of time when I was borderlining on obsession with the pumpkins...and i think siamese dream is a stroke of genius, but i also think that the wheels fell off the pumpkins bus after mellon collie. so im pretty skeptical of whats coming up, but would love to be wrong.
