First listen on the advanced but my initial impression is that it's very good.Feels more together than Guero. I want to say it's his best since Midnite Vultures but that might give you the wrong impression (as I completely loved Sea Change) but it's much more groove-able than that release. Guero was the lead up to this one. You know what? I'll go out on a limb to predict my near-future opinion of The Information and say I find it completely amazing and Beck solidifies his iconic status in all of musicdom.Oh, and don't be turned off if you don't like the 1st single, Nausea. As far as I can tell, it never should have been a single. There are much better offerings. If Beck or Beck's people read this - Think I'm In Love is your single.
Truth says
I found 6 tracks on the internet and gave them my first listen yesterday. Fully agree that "Think I'm in Love" is a highlight...nice rolling groove to it, reminiscent of "Beercan" from Mellow Gold or "Send a Message to Her" -- which is available on some European version of Guero (and REALLY worth finding).
