I saw Cornelius tonight at Webster Hall. It was awesome. If you like Cornelius (or not), go. I think the last US show is 5/11 in Philly. Their show is synchronized with video to a point that i've never experienced. If you have ever seen caribou, think about it like that, but not animated, and way way more complex. The smallest little thing the bass player would do, for example, would correspond to something onscreen. it's crazy. One of the songs has a video reminiscent of katamari damacy, which is funny. It doesn't hurt that Cornelius' music is excellent. as for the setlist, it was a mix of point, fantasma, and sensuous. the only song i really felt was missing was brazil.i need to go pick up the Point DVD so I can see what they did for the other tracks that were not played tonight.
