The Beta Band - The Three EPs

Posted over 5 years ago
The Three EPs is a compilation of The Beta Band's first three releases, consisting of the EPs Champion Versions, The Patty Patty Sound and Los Amigos del Beta Bandidos. The cover art shows the 3 main images from those EPs.
In the film High Fidelity, a record store owner played by John Cusack mentions the band by name ("I will now sell five copies of The Three EPs by The Beta Band") and plays a minute or so of the song "Dry the Rain."
Pitchfork gave it a score of 8.2.
In my opinion, it deserves much better. It's an amazing album.

  2. funkybarb says I love Dry The Rain ... one of the best songs ever ... I like the album too but that track is definitely one of the stand outs. If there's something inside that you want to say, say it out loud it will be OK ... great lyric.

  5. arth'o'love says the Beta Band are my all time fave band. I was gutted when they split, but it left me searching for anything that resembles the Beta Band. Doing so, broadning my taste in music.last month i saw the Aliens play live (ex-beta band members, john & robin) great gig.
