Fronted by Emily Haines, this band brings back a freshness and pure adrenaline only seen by bands of days past - a vastly huge compliment considering what is out there. They've been related to The Breeders, but I feel as if that's only a comparison made because of a female front (misogyny exists in rock n' roll - even today, kids.) If I had to make a spliced genre classification, I'd say they're canadian electrorock. Yes, the canadian makes a difference. Metric, to me, is like a brain freeze or a sweet punch to the jaw.
