According to Harp magazine, that would be Shannon Wright, "Atlanta native and ex-Crowsdell singer..." WTF" Crowsdell??? Seriously??? Holy Hell, I know this chick! Well, I don't really know her, but I remember being a 14-year-old indie-goth idiot, so proud of my pierced nose and black nail polish, bopping around the all-ages club Einstein-A-Go-Go in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, watching Crowsdell play on the same stage that had once hosted the likes of Kurt Cobain. Crowsdell was a band formed in my hometown, Jacksonville, and that night I saw them they were celebrating the release of their first record. I met her for a second after the show, and and I don't even remember what I said to her. It was brief, but now, 12 years later, I'm reading about her in Harp magazine and being told that she's the next Chan Marshall or Neko Case.Damn, I feel like an indie-goth idiot again.
