She & Him will be playing a date here in July. I'm kind of perhaps considering going, and kind of not. I'm only vaguely familiar with their songs, although the ones I've heard are nice. Plus, I have deep suspicions regarding anything deemed "it." But, you know, they might be really great live. It might be worth the $20. So, can anyone here give me an idea of what they're like on stage? I checked youtube and only found grainy SXSW footage. Also, any comment on whether or not my suspicions are legitimate? (Same reason I don't own an iPod.) Thanks.

I'm afraid I won't be able to help you out here. The first time I heard Zooey Deschanel singing sometimes last year, it didn't think anything of it. But the more I listen to She & Him, the more the music is growing on me.
I don't know what they're worth live but for 20 bucks (that's 10 quid for me i.e. less than 2 pints in London), it's hard to say no.
