American Radio

Posted almost 4 years ago

It sucks so bad that I can't turn on the radio without hearing the Fray singing How to Save a Life at least 25 times a day and not a single radio station has the balls to play one of the greatest living rock bands of our time, Maná, because god forbid you actually hear a foreign language on the radio unless it recognizably sounds like a foreign music. Even Shakira didn't get radio coverage until she started doubling her songs in English... creating far inferior songs.... they sounds so much better in the language they were written for.

What a joke, what a farce.

But Lucas, I hear you saying, it is unreasonable to want to hear a band that nobody in the US knows about. Except we do know about Maná.

"Maná reaches sales over 500,000 copies in the US of their new album "Amar es combatir""

"MANA rocks the Billboard 200 at No. 4, the highest rank ever on that chart for a Spanish language album by a duo or group"

"6th Week on top of the Billboard Charts!!!"

"Thousands of fans take over Times Square for a day!"

What are the radio stations waiting for?

  4. missjunk says Sadly all American radio stations are owned by TWO companies. If they say "nope" then we don't get it. It's a joke.
