Protomen - The Hounds

Now this is really hitting the jackpot! Is there such a thing as pop prog? Dunno, but I really dig this tune, which in my opinon has elements of both.

after touring for a month with prog-rock maestro's The Church, i still think of Milky Way as closer to prog-pop.  this seems a bit more like rock that's produced.  cool track though.  what year is this from?  it seems to have a bit of a period stamp on it as well.

The album came out 09/08/09, they are Nashville based and are currently working on a covers album due out later this year.

This album ActII, they  worked with Meatloaf producer Alan Shacklock, It does have a Meatloaf feel to a few songs.

All in all, I like it, I give it both ears buzzing.

You're hearing Golden Earring for sure and maybe some Brian Setzer. Nice combo of sounds.

Right on all of you. Amazing that you hear all of what you hear regarding actual year of production!I hang with cool dudes!

THanks Rex for the Golden Earring reference. That opening riff is right from Radar Love.

I love their use of horns. Amazing to my untrained ears.
