Tomorrow is Canada Day, and we will be 142 years old. Yay Canada!!!
Why are we special? Well, lessee:
1. we tell great jokes at our own expense(but you have to be Canadian to get away with it)
2. we don't care who governs the country
3. we like our accents
4. we have Red Green (see second video below)
5. we have Newfoundland
6. our beer is 5% alcohol
7. we say "eh" a lot
8. our Mounties really don't dress in those stupid red suits very much at all
9. but when they do we rush to get our pictures taken with them
10. our politics is mostly uninteresting, until those in power really screw up and leak a day in the life
11. health care is FREE
12. our salt water is freezing
That's enough of the good stuff for now. My apologies to Americans re the final word in this video. The rest of it is Canadian humor that I thought you needed to hear. You probably won't laugh if you live outside of Canada. Heck, you may not laugh if you live inside of Canada. But I laughed, therefore I'm passing it on.

You have a lot of holidays too, don't you? Where I work, we have 2 Canadian branches and they seem to be on holiday a lot more than us.
Must be nice to be off so much and have a government that is never in the news for anything they are doing- right or wrong. I can't remember the last time Canada ever ticked off another country or made an enemy. All that and free health care too- that's a pretty good deal, 'eh?

Red Green is my hero. And yes, we have one day off as an official holiday every month except Feb and March.
