I've been absent of late, and it's pretty interesting what interrupting a habit can do.
Here on the wet coast, the sun is out and it looks like spring is on its way finally.
And that opens new doors of possibilty in ways I never would have expected. I'm finding that I'm preferring to read and watch movies than listen to music. What the heck????!!!! But that's what's goin' on. My wife, who is a loyal and top of her class character as well as an officer in her guild on World of Warcraft, is cutting way back as well. With the empty nest now two years old for us, we're finally starting to see the logic in drifting back together for our evening and weekend activities. I think we've been through a typical life scenario of flailing about in a house with no noise, spills, 10's of kids, cars (mostly volkswagens) or all night parties that wouldn't allow us to sleep.
But we did it. But now it's over. We've drifted for the last 2 years. And now we're realizing just how rich is the universe that has unfolded for us.
But in all of this realization over the past couple of weeks, I'm finding myself less and less of the MOG ilk. Even less and less musically inclined. I don't actually like it, but it is what it is for now.
Life is full of changes, and I've found that everything goes in cycles. I'm now in a MOG lull, while excited about what the summer will bring.
Hopefully the creativity, rare though it was, will find me once again. Perhaps in the fall. For now, I think a break is required, even welcomed.
This is a great place, unlike any other forum online. Keep the faith.

Spend the summer fattening the reindeer for next Christmas-We do what we need to do Cap-Have a fun summer-i will look forward to your infrequent posts and start wading through the music you have switched me onto in the last year or so-peace
Your posts will be missed and the introduction to new music frontiers. Have a great spring and summer. I know that all your friends here will be here for your return whenever that may be.
Cap- come back as you can and know you don't have to write a noval to drop a post on us. Quick and easy with fewer words and time involved, as the mood hits you, would be fine. Look forward to hearing from you occasionally.
