You know, I doubt that Jack would let the bull go. He just doesn't seem like the type of fella who would back down at the last minute. I know, for the sake of the video and all, I'm just not buying it.

i dunno, i think he would...i can't see him as the kind of guy that kills helpless tortured animals for the sake of blood-soaked "entertainment"...

but then again, i'm feeling extra love for jack...just rewatched "cold mountain" and i forgot how much i love scraggly jack :)

yeah, i can't remember the singer's name...i wanna say patty or something, whatever...but it came out in the 70s. the two versions are pretty similar but i like his twist on it, especially b/c i keep thinking how much it must mirror his relationship with that model wife of his, esp. after his tumultuous relationship with renee

Thanks TONS for posting this video. Blair recently got me to see the error of my ways... I really didn't jive with the Stripes Blanc, now I am in the Army of Meg & Jack & will be true til the day I die... They became my conquest ;)

i wasn't that much into them either when i first heard them many moons ago, but now they're gods to me. lovelovelove them!

i think i really started to love them when i realized they weren't just rock, they were blues, lots and lots o'blues (see their cover of "st james infirmary blues" if you doubt me).

yup... it's the blues angle that hooked me but hard. Blair threw a few tracks at me from Elephant & Icky Thump & I was instantly transformed into a true appreciator of their genius. Great call !!! Glad to have found this post of yours... looking forward to more !!!
