yes, i'm a bad bad girl. i've been away for far too long. but sometimes life just sneaks up behind you and beats you to the ground and you start focusing on all the shitty things and forget to look up. and then one day you do, and you see the bright blue sky and the gorgeous white clouds and think to yourself, "you know, this ain't so bad!"
and what prompted me to look upwards? i got excepted to grad school! i start january 20th. i'm going to be a fucking librarian, and a sexy one at that. i'm doing a 3 year MLIS program (that's a master of library and information science, thank you very much) at san jose state university, focusing on archival studies so hopefully i can move back to the uk and get a job in a museum or historical library. so yay me. here's to blue skies once more.

yeah, i'll be moving back home to live (ahem) in my parents' basement. right now i'm paycheck-to-paycheck as it is and paying for college puts me way over my limit. so back to the basement for me.
but whatever. i'll be back in the bay area. i miss being up there. la is only fun if you've got the money to enjoy yourself. without any cash flow, la really sorta sucks.
