last night i finally got to see jay brannan perform and it was completely perfect. he's so cute and adorable! i just want to shrink him down and carry him around in my pocket. his show was at the el rey in los angeles (and no, blair, i didn't use valet this time :P) which is this great little place that holds no more than maybe at a stretch 200 people. kinda like the fillmore or the great american music hall in san francisco. anyways, he spent half the show chit chatting with the audience and talking about totally non sequiter shit, and the other half playing the sweetest acoustic songs ever. he's got this way with lyrics that just turns my heart inside out. if you've never heard of him - which, don't lie, you probably haven't - check out his website, his myspace, and then go rent shortbus and have your mind turned inside out.

Also, I've been wanting to rent Shortbus but can't find it :( Probably for the better, from what I've heard!
you can netflix it for sure. i'm surprised hollywood video and blockbuster don't have it. they usually have at least 1 copy of the lesser-known titles.
completely non sequiter here (yes, that is my word of the week) but apparently margaret cho was at the show last night. totally didn't see her, but then again most of my attention was split between jay and this douchetard in front of me with no concept of personal space. seriously, he, like, elbowed me in the fucking face when he decided to give his stinky-breathed girlfriend an impromptu massage.
I wish i had netflix, but I have the blockbuster version which sucks. They usually have everything I want, but their collection isn't quite as good as netflix. I would switch except I actually have a good deal since I signed up before the prices went up crazy amounts.
