Hey,So I am sure that there a thousand posts about the new Radiohead album, hundreds of moggers giving there opinion, stating how innovative and brilliant the new sounds are. Now of course here I am, stating how brilliant the new album is, only because it is. Its been a while since I've heard something this beaconing. The hype about the album just goes to show that radiohead as a band can still attract an audience, mostly of musicians and students. Which is brilliant, because i am both of these things, I see messages on Face-book and Bebo from friends across rivers and oceans stating how much they like the exact same song that I have fallen in love with so vividly. To be truthful, I am not a long time withstanding radiohead fan, your probably judging me at the moment as well, but I always though of them as a group of musicians that make music for people with time on there hands, don't get me wrong I did appreciate them but I was too busy slaving away to a mainstream counterculture, becoming engrossed with the stylings of nirvana, while at the same time battering the shit out of my guitar to even notice Radiohead or the bleeding. The moment that went to university I was subjected to there entire back catalogue , I had experiences Karma police while consuming drinks in a pub and since that euphoric moment, bleary eyed and shoe-gazing, I was a dedicated radiohead fan. I had the pleasure of harassing my ipod with the entire set of albums and slowly but surely working my way through the notes on the way to places and people.Today was an exciting day, the chance to acquire and listen to another masterpiece of work by a superior band. Like watching Star Wars:A New Hope when it comes out in the cinema, that kind of feeling, But I was not entirely sure how to go about it, I usually listen to a bulk of my new music on the bus, but as situations come about I had no where to, I still dont. So I had taken my headphones out, jammed them onto my head and jabbed at my ipod to play the current album, then I commenced a strange ritual like act as I went out to the back garden and walked back and fourth, consuming this piece of musical work.How great to hear all this, to combat life's worries with music. Thats all I have to say.
