MOG MOG

WHERE E=MC HAMMER

Album: Shine A Light

So I had the opportunity to catch this movie at a special IMAX screening whilst in L.A. for a business trip and had to go...I caught the shows that were filmed for this movie back in the fall of 2006 and wrote then that I should never go see the Stones again, that they could never be as good...I have managed to only see them once since (so far)!

If you are a Stones fan and plan to see this flick, go while it is playing in an IMAX. The sound and cinematography are stunning. Rollingstones.com has all of the info you need...

Don't go looking for a penetrating documentary...but man, what a concert film...

Seriously, it's too bad that Stones tickets are 1,000's of dollars. I'd like to see them someday before they quit, but oh well.

Just bought the soundtrack. On first listen, was not impressed with the sound quality, Chuck Leavell (spelling?) on keyboards is increasingly playing a role, and Daryl Sturmer (spelling?), the bass player is mixed way down. I have bootlegs which sound better. Having said that, I am emough of a fan to seek out an IMAX screen. One thing I liked was including some infrequently performed numbers, like "she was hot". I reckon I've seen the Stones live 4 or 5 times over our considerable life-spans, including the Oakland Collesium show with Ike & Tina, Terry Reid (!) and BB King in the mid-60's. BerkBob
