Freddy Hubbard's "Thermo". That's all I have to say about this record...
Oh yeah, and the line-up...Art Blakey: drums; Curtis Fuller: trombone; Freddie Hubbard: trumpet; Wayne Shorter: tenor saxophone; Cedar Walton: piano; Reggie Workman: bass. All stars, man...damn.

My Trusted MOGs
Oh, man, between Mosaic, Moanin' and Caravan how does one choose? Better yet, how does one do justice to Art Blakey's contributions to jazz, given a seriously stellar career that dates back to Billy Eckstine's band in the mid 40's? I've been wanting to do a post about Art Blakey, but the vista is so vast and broad that I have a hard time even getting started.
I'll keep thinking about it, but, in the mean time, I should thank you for the inspiration.
