To: Grateful DeadWhereas today, August 27, 2008, is the 36th anniversary of the classic Grateful Dead concert performed at the Old Renaissance Faire Grounds in Veneta, Oregon (a show popularly known as "Springfield Creamery Benefit" or "Field Trip");
Whereas multi-camera visual and multi-track audio recordings of said show are known to exist;
Whereas fans have circulated unofficial versions of the audio recordings and the video (popularly known as a move titled "Sunshine Daydream");
Whereas the Grateful Dead's business organization is involved in the commercial release of audio and visual material from its archive;
We, the undersigned fans, popularly known as "Dead Heads", petition the members of the Grateful Dead, their estates, business organization and representatives to release the recordings in their entirety, in deluxe packaging, in a manner that reflects the esteem with which this show is held in the fan community.
