SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE! (Gomer Pyle) Bet you didn’t expect to hear from me this early in the week? Huh? Well, I am pressed for time this week due to my ‘Smokey Mountains’ excursion with my family to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for Thanksgiving. What can I say, other than I literally am walking a ‘Tightrope’ this week, especially with this NFL seasons slate of 3 NFL games on Thanksgiving, my two Fantasy Football League lineups to set up, two sets of Yahoo NFL picks to make, picking the winners and picking against the spreads. My picks to select in the HBO ‘Beat The Hosts’ challenge and my picks to win in the Peter King Sports Illustrated ‘pickem’ challenge. All this besides this NFL blog I do, of course. So rather than just skipping this weeks newsletter, the show must go on, but in a more stripped down format. That’s also why I’m featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan as my featured artist. No synthesizers, just mainly straight forward screaming blues guitar leads, bass, drums and some keyboards. Talk about stripped down? Well, you got it!

Again, due to ‘tight’ for time constraints during Thanksgiving week, my picks for NFL Week 12 are the following. I Will Not pick the Houston Texans over the JETS at NEW YORK. I also Will Not pick Oakland over the CHARGERS at SAN DIEGO. The Raiders have lost 8 in a row on the road and the CHARGERS are virtually unbeatable at home. I am picking however, the MINNESOTA VIKINGS over the Arizona Cardinals 30 - 20 as my Bonus-Lock instead. I’m also picking an Additional Bonus Lock this week, for Thanksgiving! The NEW YORK JETS over the Texans 24 - 20. In my 50 -50 game, I’ll take the St. Louis Rams at home over the 49ers 30 – 27. My BOLD Fake – Out for NFL Week 12 is the 4 win PITTSBURGH STEELERS over the 8 win Baltimore Ravens 24-23. Never thought I’d be calling this one a Fake-Out at the beginning of the season! Who did? Another Fake-Out I like this week is the ATLANTA FALCONS over the New Orleans Saints 27 - 26.
