MANUP NFL WEEK 16 PICKS PATRIOTS & SAINTS

Posted 11 months ago

But first, These are my 'BEST' MUSIC CD's for 2008 (Part 2)

(11.) THE BLACK CROWES - WARPAINT - 'The Black Crowes' are in it for the long haul, which the superb 'Warpaint' proves beyond a shadow of a doubt. (12.) KINGS OF LEON - ONLY BY THE NIGHT - A polarizing 'Kings of Leon ' record, flaunting a set of ringing guitars and radio-ready melodies. (13.) THE RACONTEURS - CONSOLERS OF THE LONELY - The best music the Raconteurs have made yet. (14.) THE PRETENDERS - BREAK UP THE CONCRETE - A lively deeply felt Pretenders album, one that has better songs and better performances than usual. (15.) AC DC - BLACK ICE - 'AC/DC' hasn't lost their knack for great, simple rock & roll.

(16.) KAISER CHIEFS - OFF WITH THEIR HEADS - Easily some of the Kaisers' finest — and most consistent — music. Download 'GOOD DAYS BAD DAYS' by the KAISER CHIEFS at http://sportsblognflbybubba.podomatic.com

(17.) R.E.M - ACCELERATE - R.E.M.'S 'Accelerate' offers a glimpse of what they could be once again. (18.) RACHEL YAMAGATA - ELEPHANTS... TEETH SINKING INTO HEART - Strong songcraft with equally strong content. (19.) TAJ MAHAL - MAESTRO - 'Maestro' is a consistently engaging celebration of Taj Mahal's 40th year as a recording artist. (20.) BILL FRISELL - HISTORY MYSTERY - 'History, Mystery' is among Bill Frisell's most eclectic yet accessible projects.

* (BONUS) SARA BAREILLES - BETWEEN THE LINES: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE - The live setting by its nature gives her music some punch it lacks in the studio.

And now to NFL WEEK 16 I will not pick Oakland over HOUSTON even at Home. I also will not pick Buffalo over DENVER at DENVER. However I am picking the SAINTS over the Lions as my Bonus-LOCK instead. In my 50 - 50 games I'll take TAMPA BAY over San Diego 23 - 20, and CHICAGO over Green Bay 24 - 20. And I would not be surprised if the JETS lose on the west coast again, to Seattle 27-26. Huh? Furthermore, I also would not be surprised if the 49ers sweep the season series over the Rams, this time 27 - 20. And now since I'm hopin this will be one of my 'GOOD DAYS', My LOCK N' LOAD for NFL Week 16 is the:

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS over the Arizona Cardinals 30 - 20. (covering the Spread as the favorite)

    But first,

Download 'TODAY'S LESSON' by the 'NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS' from their cd DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!! at http://sportsblognflbybubba.podomatic.com

And now to NFL WEEK 17 I will not pick Cleveland over PITTSBURGH. Goodbye Romeo! I also will not pick Detroit over GREEN BAY, anywhere. However I am picking the BUCS over the Raiders as my Bonus-LOCK instead. I'm also picking another Bonus - LOCK this week, the FALCONS over the Rams.

In my 50 - 50 games I’ll take SAN FRAN over Washington 20 – 19, and SAN DIEGO over Denver 30 - 27. And I would not be surprised if the SAINTS beat the Panthers this time 27-23. Huh? Furthermore, I also would not be surprised if the CHIEFS swing a mild upset on the Bengals 24 - 20. Did I just say upset in this game? These teams have a combined 5 wins between them.

And now since I'm hopin ya 'DIG' this next pick My LOCK N' LOAD for NFL Week 17 is the:

BALTIMORE RAVENS over the Jacksonville Jaguars 26
