Posted over 5 years ago
FORMER NFL CHEERLEADER DANIELLE GAMBA 'Mustang Sally, guess you'd better slow your Mustang down. Mustang Sally baby, I guess you'd better slow your Mustang down. You been a runnin' all over town. I guess I better put your big feet on the ground, oh yes I will. All you wanna do is ride around Sally (ride Sally ride) All you wanna do is ride around Sally (ride Sally ride)....One of these a early mornings, You gonna be wipin' your weepin' eyes, yes you will.' (Song Lyrics by Wilson Pickett - as done by Chicago 's Blues 'King' Buddy Guy off his Classic cd DAMN RIGHT, I'VE GOT THE BLUES) Hear song at: http://sportsblogbybubb.podomatic.com YOU'RE LOOKING LIVE (Brent Musberger) at former Oakland Raiders Cheerleader Danielle Gamba at Playboy Headquarters in Chicago , Illinois ! What are you doing Brent? Keep your eyes on the newsletter, will you? You were supposed to save that for the end of this E-mail? Then again, guess I can't really blame you? Hope I didn't make it obvious who I'm picking for my LOCK this week, now. If so, then So be it! Those of you new to my blog at http://www.Mog.com and probably wondering why's this guy posting all this older music? Well the answer is not only am I generally old school about music. I just also happen to agree with Music Legends, Joe Walsh, Don Henley & Todd Rundgren who say that 90 to 95% of today's music is 'garbage'. That definitely does not include you of course, Shirley Manson, lead singer of you just had to guess it, the band (Garbage). Basically I couldn't agree more with these music legends, 'the Older the Better', in most cases! Let me further explain. Nearly throughout Rock & Roll history there have been many a numerous saying/s that have stood out, withstanding the test of time such as 'Clapton Is God', & 'Todd Is Godd', & 'The King'! Well I say that if Clapton is God, and Rundgren is the son of God, my Featured PODCAST Music Artist has to be the Holy Ghost then, JEFF BECK. (Blow by Blow by Jeff Beck ranks as one of the premiere recordings in the canon of instrumental rock music. ~ Mark Kirschenmann, All Music Guide ) Also Turns out Clapton & Jeff Beck were both heavily influenced by Buddy Guy's guitar playing and Todd's by Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck's. It all makes perfect sense to me. You can checkout Todd's cover of ('Jeff Beck' w the 'Yardbirds' classic song 'Happening Ten Years Time Ago') at: http://bobcerm.podomatic.com Now to my Picks for NFL Week 5. My Fake – Outs are the 1-2 New York Giants over the 2-2 Washington Redskins 23 – 17 and the 2 - 1 Denver Broncos over the 4 -0 Baltimore Ravens 20 – 16. The Fake – Out I Will Not pick in this NFL Blog is the Arizona Cardinals over the Kansas City Chiefs. Arizona is 3 – 13 in their past 16 games against the AFC. And now since it's time to 'Let It Ride' (Ride Sally Ride) my Stone Cold Leadpipe Lock for NFL Week 5 is the: CHICAGO BEARS over the Buffalo Bills 26 - 13 PS. 'Bought you a vintage Mustang, a nineteen-sixty-five. Now your goin' 'round, signifyin' woman. You don't wanna let me ride. Mustang Sally baby yeh, I guess you'd better slow your Mustang down. You been runnin' all over town now. I'm gonna put your big fat feet on the ground'. Last Week: 11-3 Regular-season Record Straight up: 38-22 Regular-season Record Lead pipe Locks: 4-0 Regular –season Record Fake –outs 2-3

  2. RobP says Buddy Guy in the late 60s was a contemporary of Hendrix, doing stuff similar to Hendrix, and probably the best guitarist I've seen, definitely a great showman as well as a great guitar player. I wouldn't say as good as Jimi, but...

  3. bubb says Takeshi, Yes, the Bears looked Incredible last week! Hopefully they won't be in for a let down this week after that Great win against Seattle. I love this Bears Passing offense this season as well. I picked up Bernard Berrian immediately in my Fantasy Football and he's been paying dividends ever since! Go Bears!

  4. bubb says RobP, Yes, Jimi Hendrix is in a League of his own spectacular, I agree! Rundgren does a cover of If 6 Was 9 on this same cd he did the Yardbirds cover! The cd is called 'Faithful'. That doesn't surprise me you feel that way about Buddy Guy. They don't call him the 'King' of the blues for nothing. He is an Incredible guitar player! Just spectacular, I agree.

  8. bubb says artAlexion, Actually, I picked the Eagles over the Cowboys! I already picked the Eagles as my Lock last week against Green Bay. I try not to pick the same team twice as my Lock just like in Survivor pools.
