TITANS & JETS! LOCKS for NFL Week 8.

Posted over 4 years ago
Tennesse Titans Cheerleader Kerry.I’ve got some Good news and Bad news for you this week. The Good news is I was Correct on ALL 3 of my LOCKS from last week (NFL Week 7), since the games ‘DIDN’T REMIND ME’ of the previous weeks games from (NFL Week 6). Remember? NFL Week 6 was when I got my BEARS over the Vikings LOCK wrong and my Bonus-Lock! Well, the Bad news is NFL Week 8 ‘DOES REMIND ME’ of NFL Week 6. ‘And each time I feel like this inside. There’s one thing I wanna know: What’s so funny ‘bout Peace, Love & Understanding? What’s so funny ‘bout Peace, Love & Understanding’? (ELVIS COSTELLO)Hear ‘(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding’, ‘Pump It Up’, ‘Clubland’ and ‘Watching The Detectives’ by ‘ELVIS COSTELLO’ from his cd ‘THE BEST OF ELVIS COSTELLO, THE FIRST 10 YEARS’ at http://SportsblogNFLbyBubba.podomatic.comAnd now to my picks for NFL Week 8! I Will Not pick the Houston Texans over the CHARGERS at San Diego, under any circumstances. I’m also picking the CHARGERS to cover the -10.5 points spread as the Favorite in this one, as well. I also Will Not pick Detroit over CHICAGO at Chicago. I don’t usually pick the Lions on the road or against ‘Da Bears at Home. Also, the Lions have lost their last 2 games in Chicago by a combined score of 72 - 13. I’m picking the NEW YORK JETS over Buffalo as my Bonus-LOCK, this week, 24 – 17. The Bills have averaged 5.7 points per game during their past 3 road losses and are 1 – 4 Straight-Up in their last 5 Road games against the Jets. I had to find some reasoning to justify this pick, right? In my 50 -50 games I’ll take DENVER over Green Bay 24 – 23. Jason Elam does it again. I’ll also take TAMPA BAY over Jacksonville 23 – 20 as my other 50 – 50 prediction, this week. My Fake – Out for NFL Week 8 is CINCY over Pittsburgh 30-27. I’m also picking the Bengals, obviously, to cover the +3.5 point spread in this one as well. And now since I may need some ‘PEACE, LOVE & UNDERSTANDING’ after these picks this week, my Stone Cold Lead Pipe LOCKS for NFL Week 8 is the:TENNESSEE TITANS over the Oakland Raiders 27 – 16 (the Raiders are 1 – 6 Straight-Up in their last 7 on the road against the Titans and have also lost 13 of their past 14 road games.)PS. BUB ’S STATS FOR THE WEEK NFL Week 7 Straight up: 11 – 3 REGULAR SEASON LEADPIPE LOCKS: 6 – 2 BONUS LOCKS: 6 – 1 Fake – Outs: 4 – 4 Fifty – Fifties: 8 – 8 Will Nots: 13 – 0 Spreads 7 – 7 Overall Regular-Season Record Straight up: 68 – 35

  3. bubb says Green Bay could very well Win this game also, Marigold. No doubt about that. This had to be one of the toughest picks to make of the season thus far. 50 - 50 of the year, so to speak! When I start quoting Stats, you know my Picks may be in trouble, just like in NFL Week 6. In week 6, I made my Locks and some Picks based on Previous stats and got into Trouble that week. For Ex. I picked The Bears over the Vikings in Week 6 mainly because Minn hadn't won in Chicago since 2000, seven years ago. And what ended up happening, Minn, won this time, of course! Here's an interesting Packers - Broncos stat: The HOME team in this matchup is 6-1 Straight-Up in their past 7 meetings. I had to look somewhere for an edge, since its a 50-50. You watch, the Packers will probably Win! That's why I say it may be like NFL Week 6 again! & it will be a Good sign for you and your Packers!

  4. Marigold says This is one of the Packs two tough road games. Next week they play the Chiefs at Arrowhead. (wait till you look at the Chiefs win stats against the NFC at home over the last few years. It is not good for us NFC teams. I forget what the stat is but it is crazy. Anyways, I just hope we can get at least one of these two games. IF the Pack can pull these two games off, I might beleive they are actually a pretty good team. BUT. We shall see.

  5. deadmandeadman says Ah yes, the bubbster comes through again. I too would not be surprised to see Green Bay pull it out. Its been a weird season so far so anything can happen. But I gotta tell ya.....Its a great time to be a New England sports fan. With the Sox in the World Series and the Patriots poised to rewrite the record book, its exciting times indeed. Geeze, even the Celtics may be for real this year. (though I'm not a big fan of the NBA anymore). Oh! and I almost forgot the Eagles! Boston College ranked # 2 in the nation? Shweeet! So I say to the Mog's premier sports prognosticator, Mog on you crazy diamond. Go RED SOX!!
