Alright....once again i've seem to have stumbled across another great singer-song writer in my ventures across the internet. Her name is Robin Gazzara and she's in the band One Two Three Four. She's also Ace Enders of The Early November's sister. But honestly I think she has Ace Enders beat with these four songs that i've heard so far off of their free EP, which is downloadable at http://www.regularmusic.net. It's definately worth the 20 megs of space on your computer for this album. The EP starts off with a rather somber tone with the song "Are You Alive." Although the somber tone the song is pumped full of emotion and you can really feel the atmosphere she's trying to convey. The next song, "Pantene" seems reminiscent of the Early November, but she adds her own little subtle touches into it to make it her own. "Leave Me Sleep," starts of with a blend of piano and accents of electric guitar. It's yet again somber tone seems to work for her in the beginning, and when the song kicks in a little bit more it just keeps getting better and better. The last song on the EP is entitled, "Fly Away." It's a great closer for the EP, and blends the styles of the previous 3 songs together. Her voice, the atmosphere, and just the general feel makes this EP great and I can't wait to hear more from her and her band.....One Two Three Four.....
If you've ever heard The Strokes then you've heard Albert Hammond Jr. He's their guitar player and he has a solo-side project that is beyond phenomenal. He's getting pretty big in the UK and thanks to myspace i've had a chance to hear some of his stuff. The album's called "Your's To Keep" and the single is called "101." It's catchy upbeat indie music, some of the best i've heard in a little while, and if you haven't heard him yet i've uploaded the song "101" just hit play!!!!

Weird man...i was just posting a song with a Strokes sample...its right above this one! This is a great record...he is coming to Columbus later this month...i am so there
JOx got me into Albert Hammond Jr., I very much enjoy the solo stuff! :D and I'm not a Strokes fan. :::ducks from the MOG lynch mob:::
I like this song, thanx for posting it. It took me awhile to get into The Strokes. It wasn't until their newest cd that I fell in love w/them though cause it was much rockier than their previous cds but I like them now too. I guess all the hype got in the way earlier!
Say Anything in my eyes/ears is going to blow up soon. They are one of my favorite bands right now. I recently saw them live with mewithoutYou, Piebald, and Forgive Durden and Say Anything fucking rocked the crowd. The crowd was really into them everyone sung all the songs, and I was front and center singing them too. I really can't wait until they come around again. I also just saw the preview for their new video for "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too" and it looks fucking killer. I mean really who else could pull off a song about sex in a concentration camp (for those of you who don't know thats what "Alive With The Glory of Love" is about) without offending people and causing major overdramatics, which is what usually happens in todays wonderful society. So everyone if you haven't heard Say Anything.....you must be living under some sort of rock or something like that

I love the poster. The lettering and piano go together really well.
