Turkey Time: A Thanksgiving Video Playlist

Posted 3 months ago

Bet you didn't think you could get your eatin' on with your favorite musicians. Sir Paul McCartney said it best, "How exciting is this on the internet?" This Thanksgiving, as you stuff up your turkey, or eat another slice of pie without regrets, and have napped off the calories, go on and grub up with Snoop, Paul McCartney, and Patti LaBelle, just to name a few. We've even got Raekwon in our kitchen this year, and no he ain't using baking soda.

Do the mashed potato with Paul McCartney. TIP: "It depends on how naughty you want to be really."

Snoop visited Martha and also made mashed potatoes. More importantly, he edumacated the Martha demographic on how to speak Snoopbonics. TIP: "Oh, you want me to take the skizz-in off. My bad."

Patti LaBelle and Oprah cook up mac and cheese that's so good Ms. Patti claims it makes some people see Jesus. TIP: "We're hoochie now. Put in that one cup of Velveeta cheese!"

Raekwon ain't called The Chef for nothing. He gets out his fish scale and makes some salmon like moms taught him. TIP: "Sprinkle it on and don't worry about if it's too much."

Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos put out a book about all the food he gets to eat while touring. TIP: Stay away from bulls' balls.

Andrew WK knows a lot of things. He can tell you How to Live. Or he can be in the mood for pancakes, tempt people on his Twitter and hire someone to act out the pancake orgy as seen here. TIP: Eat more pancakes.

Where is Julia Child, whacking the devil out of fish, fowl, or boeuf with grand abandon? (I can see it now: Jerry Bruckheimer next apocalyptic flick, "Horror in the Kitchen: Celebrity Cut Ups Gone Wild!") Oh well, back to "Aunty Marialani's Cooking Hour"...
