my last post was about how a certain album was not 10/10 even though i gave it that rating initially. today i've been trying to improve my stats by listening to my itunes five-star rated songs exclusively. normally i listen to full albums. but then it's hard to show you folks my favorite songs.however, i was wondering if anybody reads this and would like to tell me their personal 10/10 album...

i'm a lot more picky than to give the gothic archies 10/10. don't get me wrong, stephin merritt is one of the great songwriters of our time and the gothic archies album from a couple years ago is fantastic, but 10/10? not quite. maybe for 69 love songs. i think the gothic archies album should probably get 8/10.however, i have read the first couple books from a series of unfortunate events. ...

I just have to write a mini-review here of the new Gothic Archies album. As one who never read the Lemony Snicket books, nor watched the movie, I can say that this album is amazing. It may enhance the experience of the album if you know the source material, but it is unneeded. Just like Stephin Merritt's album from last year, the tracks stand alone just fine. Probably even better in this case.
