Okay, I know my best of 2008 is so very random, but this clearly explains my personality, lack of time to put much thought into anything I post, and also might expose the insanity that runs in my blood.

Drum roll please...

The best short form album of 2008 is the very quick and dirty s/t LP from Ty Segall - a one-man band from SF. He plays the drums, guitar and sings all at the same time, so it makes sense that most of his songs are less than 2 minutes - he must be a very tired man. He walks the line somewhere between garage, punk and RB/soul. Most of you will hear the influences and my hat is tipped to Ty -- what amazing influences to have.
