WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

another music video lovingly dedicated to the MOG-O-SPHERE

Posted about 1 year ago

I went to a Cake show about five years ago, got into a fight with security, waited outside the back door and shook John McCrae's hand before he got into an early 90s Honda Accord. With nothing else to do after that, I hitched a ride with a Mexican and a man with a gray pony tail. We popped a bunch of Xanax, made a quick stop at a crack house, and parted ways a couple miles from my home. I gave them my wallet and my watch in appreciation for the ride.

  1. Zeroskilz says Brand, that is one excellent story. And this song is great. I didn't realise it had a video. I seen Cake play with Filter once. They put on a great show. No problems with security, no Xanax, no crackhouses and I got to keep my wallet. I don't wear a watch.

  2. Viva La Britt says "in appreciation"...I've never hread it broken down that way before. Bad times, but a great story it is.

  3. brand X says I no longer wear a watch myself, Zero. The band that opened for Cake at this show was actually pretty enjoyable, but I cannot for the life of me remember who they were. Might have been local. Cake put on a great show to a packed house, in fact, I think this is the only concert I have truly enjoyed at that particular venue. The rest of the night, well, I can't blame that on Cake, but I still refused to listen to them for a couple years. Viva, aren't all the best stories about bad times?
