About 6 years ago I heard this song from a TV commercial for a local newpaper. I loved it immediately and, after looking for it online back in the CD Now days, I called the ad department at the paper to get the name of it. it took the pleasant marketing intern a few minutes of looking, but delievered the goods eventually. It was Paul Pena. The great song title is A Bit of Alright.

When I get the CD I learn tht it's been a vault for 20 years or so for some reason and that Pena wrote Jet Airliner - made famous by Steve Miller. A few months back I was talking to a guy over a business lunch. I had sent him a CD that he'd asked me to burn and he noted this song. It turned out that he was part of the ad team that found and selected it when an external group played it for them.

Then when I do a quick Google to post about him here, I learn that Pena was born not far from my hometown and attended a school for the blind within walking distance of my alma mater.

Tells me that this post is supposed to happen.
