WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

ego carmen indigeo. [is that right?]

ahhhh.i'm drowning in a sea of latin noun endings and conjugations.ego auxilium indigeo.other than that...i've discovered that music can really give people words to express how they're feeling when they just don't know what to do. for example, my friend's dad passed away this summer and she's been really closed off and bitter ever since. we've tried to get through to her but no one really got anywhere...until i gave her my christmas present. i took 75 of my current favorite songs, matched them up to five friends to fit their personalities, present circumstances, etc. and burned them onto five cds. i put songs like what sarah said , where you'll find me now, and anthems for a seventeen-year-old girl on hers. she really loved those but what got to her was a better son/daughter. she called me bawling and i could hear the song in the background. i guess it hit her when she heard those lyrics. she's starting to come out of her dark and twisty stage...so i'm really glad i [and jenny lewis, death cab, broken social scene, and co.] were able to help.music is powerful.i just wish it could help me conjugate these verbs [nuntio, nuntias, nuntiat....]

  1. Pseudo Cyborg says I took four years of Latin in High School, even took the AP test. As painful as it was at times, I'm very glad I did it. It definitely helps with vocabulary but also with reading other Romantic languages as well. I can't understand French when spoken for the life of me, but I can pick apart a written sentence decently. Best of luck with that. Death, especially of a parent or someone equally close, can be quite traumatic. Your friend is lucky to have understanding and patient people as friends. I'm sure she'll be fine with time, too.
