Jedi Mind Tricks are back with A History of Violence, which is set to release November 11th! After hearing "Monolith" earlier this month, and now "Godflesh", I'm actually starting to look forward to this album. This track is dope because for once it doesn't necessarily sound like J.M.T. are trying to violently beat me up. [...]
I'm not really too big on only blogging the "newest and hottest", sometimes we repost stuff that the blogs had been done and gone with for a while, but surprisingly reposting slightly older news has generated alot of traffic for us! haha.. I guess news travels slower to some people. But anyways this mix dropped back [...]
Wow this collabo track is what "Black Republicans" should have sounded like. Lil' Wayne joins Ludacris on "Last of a Dying Breed" and together they absolutely murk an already monsterous beat. This track is presumably off Luda's upcoming Theatre of Mind album.
I remember Mos performin at U.C.R.'s Heat Festival back in March, all he would say his "YEE, THE ECSTATIC, THE ECSTATIC". Good to finally see he's releasing tracks for The Ecstatic! If you're feelin' this track, be sure you buy it on 11.4, oh yeaa and GO VOTEE as well!
Dred Scott Breakin Combs (1994) |53 MB| The album from the man you probably never heard of before. It's shame though like many MC's from the 90's most notably Chino XL & Ras Kass, Dred never received mainstream stardom. With his many connects in the industry on both coasts Dred Scott still was lost in shuffle of [...]
Detroit producer and emcee, Black Milk, is getting ready to drop his latest album, Tronic, on October 28th. Be sure to cop it as this latest track, "Losing Out" featuring Royce, proves the album is going to dope.

Watching the youtube video of Blu and Evidence in the studio listenin to this track in the background had me going crazy and now it is finally here with two more dope artists (Phonte and will.i.am). The latest track ,"For Whom The Bell Tolls," has me even more excited for Evidence's upcoming Layover EP. [...]
Many of you may be fans of Exile's classic collabo Below the Heavens with up and coming emcee Blu which was bangin in my car for a good 6 months haha. Well, I have good news for you, Exile is set to release his solo instrumental album, Radio, on Presidential Inauguration Day (Jan. 20th). Here [...]
Well today I just got to listen to DJ Babu's Duck Season Vol. 3 (In stores October 28th) and I know peeps are waiting to hear how it sounds. I won't speak on "Dearly Departed", "Ahead of My Time" or "Fanmail" since I think most of ya'll heard these tracks before. They are up on Babu's [...]
Ok, so this totally happened to me once, but it was different, I was the dorky guy and I was being harassed by a bunch of rapping Samoans… …naahh just kidding, I'd live a fuller & happier life if that we're true… But props to corporate America for goofball hip hop comedy perpetuating self-depreciating stereotypes… [...]
Growing up in the midst of the Southern California backpacker scene, I have most def seen my share of bootleg Hip Hop shows, college shows & Hip Hop political organizing and organizations, and one figure that has always stood out to me in the midst of all those experiences was the emcee Bambu. Once at a [...]

The Beatnuts The Spot (1998) |35 MB| The mc/producing duo of The Beatnuts (Big Les & Ju Ju) has made a name for themselves in 90's Hip Hop world. From classic club bangers like "Off The Books" & "Watch Out Now" to hardcore joints like "Props Over Here" and "Reign Of The Tec" The Beatnuts are well [...]
Wow a killer unreleased track from Lupe Fiasco called "Accept The Troubles." The fellas at FakeShore dug this up and it shows Lupe's true game and also a Lupe that's alittle rougher around the edges more Big-L like… I'm assuming this was a cut that proceeded his debut album, maybe from his mixtape phase… [...]
Damn we should create a “Kanye West” category on the site this week! Kanye keeps leaking the equivalent of “Costco Samples” of his soon to be released album, 808’s and Heartbreak. You’ve probably heard “Love Lockdown” & “Heartache” now make room for “Coldest Winter.” This one’s killing it with Hip Hop’s new found obsessions with [...]
Came across this Coldplay remix of "Lost" featuring Jay-Z… I have no information on it other than that… Did a DJ put it together?, is it official?.. the verse sounds mighty familiar, anyone know where its from? Yes, we're supposed to be the bloggers…but lets figure this out Wikipedia style…. contribute!
Two great ways to get a lot of hits for the day is to post a track by either Kanye West or Radiohead… with the slew of “Love Lockdown” & “Reckoner” remixes hitting the blogosphere it’s not hard to find material for either one…However, DJ Earworm decides to cash in on the both hot google [...]
